Welcome to the 2010-2011 Texas A&M University George H. W. Bush School of Government and Public Service's India Blog. With our passports in hand, we traveled to Delhi, India for approximately three weeks to experience and learn about the complexities of Indian society and government. Each one of us packed up our academic interests, sense of adventure, and willingness to learn in hopes of truly embracing all Delhi had to offer us. We wanted to learn about education, trade, energy resources, national security issues, diplomacy, and economic development. The purpose of this blog was to share our adventures and comment on the lectures.
The Jawaharalal Nehru Institute of Advanced Study accommodated our needs by providing excellent speakers and activities to expand our understanding of India. We would like to thank Drs. Aditya Mukherjee, Nirmal Goswami, Kishore Gawande, and the many presenters who participated and put countless hours of hard work into making this program a success. We cannot adequately express our appreciation for everything you have done for us. Our time in India was short, but this will not be our last trip.
